About UBHCHY

The Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Initiative in Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is part of a larger movement of more than 500 communities in the U.S. and Canada promoting asset development to engage and empower youth. The Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition (UBHCHY) represents the municipalities of the Palisades, Pennridge and Quakertown school districts, is a member of the Bucks Promise for Healthy Communities and Youth, and is partially funded through a federal grant from the Drug Free Communities Support Program. justCommunity, Inc., is our coordinating agency and fiscal agent.

UBHCHY’s asset development framework was developed by Search Institute of Minneapolis. Search Institute is an independent, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization whose mission is to advance the well-being of adolescents and children.
